Chiloe Wigeon Mareca sibilatrix
This species was formerly placed in the genus Anas.
This southern South American species is very unlikely to occur naturally in Britain or elsewhere in Europe but is extremely popular in wildfowl collections and escapees are often encountered in the wild.
Here is one such escapee.

The rest of my photos are are pf birds still in captivity. Note that this species is unusual among the genus in that both males and females have similar plumage (females are a little duller but quite unlike females of other wigeon species).
