Ground Weevil Barynotus obscurus

Appropriately for its vernacular name, this was found on the ground.

This was in my moth trap. It was before I'd started looking at beetles seriously and my initial attempts to identify it (probably from general insect books that only include a few species) came up with a tentative Clay-coloured Weevil Otiorhynchus singularis. On reviewing my old records over a decade later it's immediately clear that it isn't that, but I can't see any reason why it can't be identified as Barynotus obsucurus.
