When keying Sitona, the position of the fore coxae in relation to the constriction at the fore margin of the prosternum is often relevant, so this appears in a few of my photos. It's not always easy to see the constriction itself as it's covered in scales, but there's usually a suggestion of a line.

I'm not quite sure why I felt the need to dissect the next two - presumably I lacked confidence for some reason or other, though looking back with the benefit of a few more year's experience they look pretty straightforward now.

I think the thing attached to this one's leg is some kind of Argasid tick.

This one had something like a spider's web wrapped round its body. I guess that will have prevented it from being able to fly.
