Closterotomus trivialis

A recent colonist to the UK.

This was swept and was 7.9mm long. It wasn't immediately clear to me whether it was this species or Lucerne Bug Adelphocoris lineolatus, but after looking into it a bit I think the length of the rostrum (not reaching the hind coxae) rules out the latter. Other differences such as the length of the tibial spines seem to fit trivialis too, but are quite marginal.

This was on a flower. It was quite a different-looking individual to the last one but in some ways easier to identify. It recalled Pantilius tunicatus but that's a species I'm fairly familiar with and it didn't look right, so I potted it for further examination.
