Channel Islands Pug Eupithecia ultimaria
After being found in the Channel Islands in 1984 this species became established along England's south coast and is now spreading north. The first for Norfolk was in 2022, retrospectively identified a couple of years later. Breeding has now been confirmed in south Suffolk so a continued northward expansion is to be expected. My first record is this one from east Kent, identified on external characters but confirmed genitalically.
